Getting my iPhone in 2-3 days, using fido...

Hello,

I just have a question, regarding the iPhone being unlocked to Fido.

I am currently in Canada.

I am going to get a non-iphone plan, but using it on my unlocked iphone.

If I get the $7 unlimited EDGE, will I be charged anything more then the $7 dollars?

I know how to set up the EDGE to fido, but will I be able to do everything unlimited... as long as I have the $7 EDGE?

Please clarify this, thanks.

no that $7 dollar plan is for wap you will be charged out the *** if you use internet here in Canada .... welcome to the country with the worst data plans in the world!

LMAO! +1....some ppl have gotten away with the unlimited plan (see in this forum somewhere) but they put in fine print that any non-Fido certified phone is not useable in this plan, so if you do get charged, you can't argue with them.

Too bad you didn't get your iphone earlier, Fido did a 12mb data plan in one of their "value packs" that include call display, voice mail, etc. for $18 which is great but unfortunately the offer expired in March

Hopefully next month there will be something better released with the
"Official' (read legal) release of the iPhone in Canada
