Is there a way to get the EDGE network in DUBAI? (Etisalat)

HI Folks.

Im going back to Canada/USA at the end of August - so by then the new iPhone will be out. Basically Im ganna get a phone and use it here. But i never asked, is there a way to pretty much use the phone as they do in the US on AT&T network - in DUbai on Etisalat's network?

Basically - I would like to know if there is a way to hack the phone so that we can use it like normal people in the US who can receive their email anywhere, where there's coverage.

i think what you have to do is
call your call center
and then check if your EDGE or GPRS service is activated in your mobile
second ask the agent to provide you with the access point name and username + password of the EDGE or GPRS
when you get the information, go the network, then EDGE and there type the access point name you got in APN field and then username and password and it will work
knowing that maybe for the first time it wont work so you have to reboot the iPhone

Its working with me in Qatar and it should works too in UAE

I'm going to call my agent provider then see if it will work

is there anything i can do to get connected
