Yes, you can. Even though it's not true EDGE, you can edit some files on your phone to get Internet working. Here's the site:

    http://forums.macrumors.com/showthread.php?t=383315

Follow the instructions well and you'll get it working.

Microsoft owns the internet through Hotmail. The .HTML is short for Hotmail, so all .HTML files are MS files.

I'm on my second iPhone now and this one as soon as I put my sim in the edge was working! I am in Ireland on o2 pay as u go and costs a absolute fortune 4 it. Working out to be nearly €1.50 a page!!!
I'm now in the process of trying to disable the edge incase I knock it on accidentaly

Uh, whoa... seriously? That's $3US to load "a page" - as in a single webpage? I'll be in the UK in a few weeks and thought it would be real great to unlock and pickup a prepaid O2 sim so I could obviously use the phone, but also to check email and use google maps and such.

I thought I saw some deal with an O2 prepaid sim card with 30 days of 'free mobile internet' - can I use something like that or maybe is there a better carrier whose prepaid sim will work?
