HI! I have a problem. Today,I have recived a bill for 250$,for overusing edge... I have 100MB prepaid in my contract. They have said,that I have used 600MB FOR 3 DAYS!,I think,thats impossible...
I didnt download music in iTunes Store,didnt watch you tube.. Can it be possible?

Yep, that's quite possible. It's depends on how they round up small sessions. For example, if minimum billed session size is 150Kb, then you'll pay for these 150kb, even if you downloaded 5kb.

I heard about such problem. iPhone checks EDGE quite frequently sending small packets and some aperators do bill these checks as usual data transmission (like if you are surfing). Each of such checks is separate session, so they round it up to minimum billed session size...

Anyway, you could ask swisscom to give you the detailed list of data sessions with addresses, times and transmitted data amounts.

My service provider does NOT do the rounding up thing.

Instead, I get a 30 page itemized phone bill with line after line after line of "Internet 4kb 1c"

Hahaha... My data (EDGE) account is only about R80 a month! (+- US$12)
