EDGE error message.-Please Advise.

Today I got this error message.

Could not activate EDGE: PDP authentication failure.

Does anyone know what that means?

go to settings/general/about/network/edge. Change the apn to wap.voicestream.com. The password and username is guest

That didn't seem to work. I am on Cellular One of East Texas. I can't get AT&T where I am located.

Any other suggestions?

don't do wap.voicestream.com....try internet2.voicestream.com.

I have about decided that Cellular One of East Texas doesn't have the right technology for me to use EDGE even though they are a GSM service.

Any other ideas?
