so far this site has been a gold mine of info and very helpful so thanks to everyone that seems to working to free the iphones
I seem to have confusion on the caller ID i'm based in the Netherlands and would like to get the caller ID working properly. Number in the Netherlands are generally -
for landlines - local - 020 XXX XXXX or with international prefix +31 20 XXX XXXX
and mobile numbers 06 XXX XXXXX or with international prefix +31 6 XXX XXXXX
I'm using firmware 1.1.1 and will upload files using winSCP I found this link with these files on here but don't know what one to use and where do I put them, I'm new to the iphone hacking so a step by step guide would be excellent! Also what will happen is say someone calls from the U.K and there numbers have more digits will it only work caller ID on netherlands and the rest of the world will only display numbers even if they are in my phone book? do I use the 7 - 8 - 9 - 10 file? i'm really unsure?
(Link for anyone with same problem both 1.0.2 and 1.1.1 files are there) http://iphone.fiveforty.net/wiki/index.php/AppSupport

For 1.1.1, I think there's a better solution.
you can just edit a file to turn on International support set "Region Format" to whatever country you're in. That ought to do it too. I'm not in oher country to verify that at the moment though.
BTW, Netherlands is in the list of countries.
Use an SFTP client on your iPhone (Cyberduck, Winscp, etc)
2. Log into your iPhone via SFTP from your computer
3. Copy the file /System/Library/CoreServices/SpringBoard.app/M68AP.plist to your computer.
4. Open M68AP.plist, and change the boolean /root/capabilities/International from false to true, then save the file.
5. Upload the modified M68AP.plist to your iPhone, overwriting the original
6. Restart your iPhone
7. Now look in Settings->General->International
now check your phonebook, have someone call you see if numbers are showing up correctly.
Let me know if that fixes the numbering problem or not.
