This is great news even though I already have my iPhone and am with Rogers. I would look forward to the iPhone plan that Rogers will have but lets be honest there is an incredibly slim chance that we will have the benefits that the US has with AT&T. We will be lucky to get 1GB of data for $100 per month.

There is a 1gb data plan for rogers for 65 bucks already Icecold.

Ya this plan is going to be exspensive I was reading the newspaper today and Rogers himself said this phone isnt for the average consumer the plans are going to be atleast $100 + so im assuming plans will be more in the 125-150 range and I DOUBT it will even be unlimited internet .... anyway ill stick with my fido plan if thats what rogers plans to charge what a rip off in the us 59 and for us 100+ give me a ******* break!

Just the other day I was reading that Rogers released an unlimited mobile data plan for $7, whats that all about? I assume just basic carrier internet like weather and crap. My iphone is on the way, what is a decent plan without breaking the bank?
In Japan all they have is unlimited carrier and PC site internet, $40-$55 respectivly.
Thanks in advance,

With regards to what plan is good, when it comes to the data aspect there is no good plan without breaking the bank. You can get decent voice plans but when it comes to data you are looking at $65 for 1gb just for data and then your voice plan is on top of that.

Yeah welcome To Canada eh...On the other hand companies always follow suit, eventually. This industry is just one big game and Canada always seems to think its the special olympics...

I feel the bottom line is the issue of Canadian companies and the CRTC not wanting to adapt to the future (never mind be proactive) I remember when I was working for Clearnet and Bell all the network and handset stuff "coming down the pipe" did eventyually come to Canada, 4-6 years later...
I think that eventually our mobile market will look similar if not the same as the American market today, the question is how long will it take to get us out of the Startac era...
