Default Receiving SMS's From Masked Numbers
    Hi all,

I have an iPhone that I have unlocked (1.0.2) and am using happy within Australia (on Telstra). One thing I have noticed is that the iPhone doesn't received SMS's from masked numbers... it's a bit hard to explain.

On my old phone, I got SMS's from my provider, usually about voicemail, and the senders number appeared as 'Telstra'. The same thing happened with my calendar updates from Google, the sending phone number would display as 'Google', rather than an actual number.

So what's the story? Can the iPhone receive messages from these sources? Is there a fix out there? Help appreciated (I'm new here ).

    Cheers,

Is that Surepage that you are getting the Optus messages from? On 1.0.2, you couldn't recieve surepage sms's.

1.1.1 receives more SMS than 1.0.2, but this "bug" has been completely fixed only in 1.1.2, which can receive now any sms...
