Default problems using non-iphone AT&T sim
I am interested in buying an iphone and using this method to allow me to use my current Cingular plan:

A few quesitons for anyone who has done this:

Will I run into any problems with itunes if I never use it to activate the phone with AT&T?

Are there any other pitfalls or phone handicapping that I will run into using this method?

Thanks in advance for your help

    Thanks guys,

I ran through the procedure (almost) glitch free.

If I try to use the YouTube app, I get a "cannot connect to YouTube" error... it looks like this is a problem with the hack?

Does anyone know how to go about fixing this? Or at least why it happens?

It's not a big deal, as I'm not overly concerned with that app, but would still be nice to have full functionality. I assume as far as anyone know this is the extent of the limitations? (It appears that way to me.)

Thanks to everyone who's spent their time and effort with everything on the iphone. It's been imensely helpful...

It appears that visual voicemail isn't working... Is this an issue with the hack, or just a bug with the iphone?

    Thanks for the help

Visual Voicemail requires you to be setup on the visual voicemail system. Its not simply a feature of the phone, it requires a back end on the providers network.
