    Default Cant SFTP iPhone 1.1.4
I have jailbroken my 1.1.4 iPhone. I have always used Transmit FTP to connect to my iPhone but for some reason I am unable to do it now.

I have SSH installed and everything. Im using the username root and the password alpine but after about 30 seconds it says permission denied.

Check to see if your router cycled to another IP. Most will do that every week or so. Check your IP in settings on the phone and see if the last digit changed or something. My router changed mine from .5 to .2 last week under it's weekly cycle.

Still does not work. I made sure I have the correct IP and everything. It is set to SFTP. Just keeps giving me permission denied.

use cyberduck, its a lot easier.

did you restart your phone after installing openssh? after your restart it, give it about 45 seconds so it is able to generate a key for your computer to connect to it.

if you are still having problems one thing to do is to delete the folder /Users/username/.ssh
    this worked for me
just replace username with your username.
