Directory Confusion...

So here's the deal...why does my summerboard list as private/var/root/etc.
but my customize is var/media/etc...

Both apps work fine but how can they be in two diff directories?

Is this normal/ok...should I expect a conflict or not?

Please advise

Your talking about 2 apps modifying DIFFERENT images/etc on the phone. The directory you listed for Summerboard is were it stores your themes, not were the image files are located when in use by the phone.

Anyways, your cool, its normal.

so it's ok for this? Reason being, the summerboard listed in var/mobile has no themes in it...Is this the norm?

I know they're two diff. image sets for diff. skinning, but what I mean is that the active apps are in two directories...U Dig?

However, I have upgraded a few times and am now on 1.1.3.

The file system changed alot after 1.1.2 and all app directories were moved, so......

I had alot of directories/files left from my previous firmware/jailbroken phone (being 1.1.2) that were not used anymore. I went in with SSH and deleted them manually to clean up.
