will iPhone erase prev t-mobile SIM data?

hi

i want to unlock my iPhone and see it work with my girlfriend's t-mobile SIM card.

however, she will KILL me if any of the data stored on her t-mobile SIM card gets erased.

can anyone tell me if there's any risk to the data stored on her card if i were to put the SIM in my iPhone post-unlock?
