iPhoto crashes when I try to access my iphone via File --> Import

How can I get my pics off my phone? I'm very comfortable with scp. Where are the photos I take with my iphone camera located on the iphone?

All digital camera's have a DCIM folder with the folders inside named 100THEIRBRAND.

I was wondering why it was in /private/var/... instead of just /var/...

the /var directory is just a symbolic link...not really a directory. if i recall correctly, it links to /private/var...so it's really the same thing

as far as unix paths...i haven't yet begun to understand all of the hows and whys behind the many redundancies...

yeah... /var/ links to /private/var/ but idk why either

Hey guys,

Im looking under /private/var/root/Media/ and theres no addition folders.
Ive also tried searching under /private/var/mobile/media/photos, but theres nothing there either.

Because ive been using snapture, could it be under a different directory??

any helps appreciated.
