possible to change message check interval?

does anyone know a way to change the message checking interval to something other then the presets?

i would like it to check every 5 minutes instead of 15 minutes...

Could downloads be scheduled? Or can we download different mail accounts on different intervals?

I have 4 mails that I regularly use and would like to have them download in the middle of the night so that my phone is kept current on a daily basis.

Some emails I use more than others and would like to be able to download those more regularly thru the day.
