Having a problem with skinning my phone...

I am using the skinning guide from this forum. I get to step 5 but I get a message saying Illegal instruction and my phone stays in restore mode. Can anyone help me??

you are using jailbreak. try the new version of apptapp installer....then install summerboard and use the themeing functionality that is built into summerboard. that's a MUCH easier route than the oldschool manual path you're cruising down...

I must stress that you probably need the NEW version of apptapp. google that and use their instructions to install... (from a mac)
