    Default sim cards and activating/unlocking

    So I got my new iPhone yesterday and following the guide here, I have managed to activate my iPhone. Now I am ready to unlock it but I just realized that I still have the original AT&T sim installed.

    Should I have replaced the sim card with my own before activating?
    If so do I need to repeat the activation process with the new sim card before unlocking?
