can't get out of the batter's box!

OK - the new iPhone came with my first ever Mac.

I want to use some of the downloads here but many are XYZ.rar, I can't get WinRAR to run on OSX and I can't find instructions anywhere.

I know this isn't "directly related" to modding, bit if I can't get past this I can't even open the files to put myself in the position to start asking directly related questions.

Any input out there?

there's a program for mac called RaRx or xRaR ... something like that
I use that.

u know ... googling "rar os x" would've gone a long way for u

always used winrar on the pc so I just went there and they had an osx version so i didn't google.

took it one step further and googled "opening rar files in mac os x"

looks like zipeg will be my new daddy!

i find stuffit kinda ... um .. stuffy .. lol ... it feels bloated and cumbersome.
Although, it does do a lot more!
I still can't get the early stuffit expanders from Classic outta my mind, or 10.1.5 for that matter.....yuk!

I'm sorry, but there should be a clear reason why using Win[B]RAR[B] won't work on your mac...

I use Stuffit and it is clearly the best tool for expanding compressed archives on OSX.
