    Default iPhone unlocked...still won't activate!!! Anyone having this problem?

    Is anyone having issues with their iPhone (already unlocked) but doesn't activate to new SIM? Please help!!!

    i got a no serivce thing going on. It was because Iunlocked it with the 1.0 firmware first. No matter what, you are screwed if you did that. Take it back, pay the restock fee, get a new phone and update the firmware then follow the steps posted on this site. Works great.

    wow..i was unaware that unlocking from the 1.0 would render the phone unusable....there must be a fix

    oh, and if your phone is otherwise functioning fine, they should just swap it out with no probs...without the restocking fee.
