Removing Application Names Under Icon
Does anyone know how to remove the application names under the icons from the iPhone? Any help would be much appreciated.
Thanks...

you could use the summerboard 2.1 to remove the names or you could just edit the .plist but summerboard 2.1 is much much easier..
hope this helped you

Go into System/Library/CoreServices/SpringBoard.app/English.lproj/LocalizedApplicationNames.strings, and make sure the apps are all listed (if not, copy them in there following the same format as the others - you can find the info in the Info.plist in each of the Applications you want to add), then delete just the names from the strings file, and save it.

Yup. But I find then it doesn't retain the same spacing, which annoys the heck out of me. I like my iPhone to look a very specific way.
