can't view png images off of iPhone, please help

I downloaded all the png images from the System/Library/Frameworks/TelephonyUI.framework folder to see what images I may like to play with, but I cant seem to view any images in any of my programs. CS3, image converter, preview, etc. I even downloaded a super png plug-in for photoshop with no luck. What do I need to do?

They're stored in a bit of a funky format.

Thanks, for some reason I overlooked that page. Seems like allot of work to view a bunch of images out of curiosity.

I think this page is new, anyway, it makes it really easy to drag a folder full of images in and fix them up. It contains the program to make that droplet work.

More about the iPhone PNG format is available here: Iphone PNG images - ModMyI - Wiki

To convert these specially formatted PNG files, you can use the Python script available here: Axel E. Brzostowski

Download Python here: Releases

Hi, I'm new here.
I wanted to do the same thing, look at png files. But I also want to be able to modify them, with something possibly like photoshop. So is there a way to convert these images to an editable image, and then convert them back to the special apple png file?

I found this handy tool online, release78.org
But it only shows you that image. Is there a way to edit it in its png state? I think i can save the image as jpg with the online converter, but can I convert it back to png when I'm done doing it?

I'm basically trying to mod a app, and make characters but this png conversion just made this wayyy harder!

Please let me know if you have a solution, thanks!

By the way I downloaded Fix Png Droplet from two locations, but they both seemed to be only for mac. Is there a windows version?

EDIT: I sorta figured out how to do this, i downloaded python and then runned the python script. But the only thing is I don't want all my png files to be converted, just some. Plus, does it matter that you have to convert these png's into apple png's? So far i made my own app character images, and it seems to work
