What should I install on my FIRST Apple Computer?
I just bought a nice, new iMac for my wife for Christmas (well...she is going to think it is for her HAHA).
I am very new to the game. Last time I used an Apple computer was around 1985 and it was an Apple II C I think.
Anyways, I was playing around with the iMac today, setting it up for my wife before wrapping it up for Christmas and I really like it.
I was wondering if there are any programs that you all think we should have on the computer. My wife mainly uses the computer to surf, email, type documents, etc. Quite a casual user, with no real computer experience.
I, on the other hand, am a heavy computer user and have quite a good grasp of working on a PC. I will not be doing any of my work on the iMac (due to some PC only programs we run), but I will be playing around alot and we will use the iMac for pretty much all of our multimedia, etc.
Any suggestions of what we just cant go without as far as software?

I forgot to mention Carbon Copy Cloner. this is FREE and it can make back up images.
Superduper is FREE also but you have to donate to unlock some features.
CCC is 100% free. With it I have created 10.2,10.3,10.4,and 10.5 images that I keep around. I usually keep a vanilla version and a personal back up version that has the programs I use and mail settings and such.
The vanilla version is for when I want to restore my systems when I sell them a lot easier that reinstalling everything again.Yeah I'm an iPhoneaholic!! So What!!!
