Summerboard screwed up my iPhone?

My phone froze a few minutes ago, so I restarted it. When I did, all the icons on the home screen were gone. I couldnt do anything. I just tried to restore it and I got an error message. Hopefully it will work this time, but if it doesnt, Im afraid I might be stuck without a phone

Anyone else having similar problems with Summerboard?

Yes that happened to me when I tried to uninstall an early version of SummerBoard. I was able to ssh into my phone and connect via iphuc but no icons displayed on the screen.

Obviously you got an error when you tried to sync/restore because you have a modded phone and will have to put your phone into recovery mode.

Do a complete restore again. What version of iFuntastic are you using? if it is the 3.03 then you will run into some troubles. I use the version before the new and never had any problems. Also if iFuntastic doesn't want to jailbreak your iPhone that means your restore was not successful even thou it tells you that.

Easy does it... it was a valid suggestion. You can also use iTunes 7.4, that seems to be more in your price range.

Back to the topic at hand, I was able to use all my modding utilities (I don't use iFuntastic) after installing Installer app from the link I provided.

You'll have to wait until iFuntastic is updated.

Serious man. Who the hell are these programmers thinking just cause they put dozens and sometimes hundreds of hours into an app that we are gonna PAY for them??!?!?!?!?!?!??!! Don't they know if they choose to be programmers, they forfeit all financial gain and agree to live solely off of Ramen and handouts from their folks? Programming is NEVER a profession, they should KNOW that!

Thats not what I meant. I won't pay for ringtones because apple shouldnt have restricted them. I have a lot of respect for the programmers making apps. It seems like they're working harder than the guys over at apple.

Yup. Such is life. I won't pay for them either, but more power to em. And at least with Apple for $1.99 you get the song AND the ringtone. Most cell phone companies charge more than that and ONLY give you the ringtone. I say bravo Apple, but I'll keep doing what I'm doing.
