ok so i want to know how to virginize my 1.1.4 iphone. i want to wipe my iphone clean of all the installer apps or anything. I have tried the independence software and ziphone but no luck . im running mac os x leopard. thanks if it is easier to DG to 1.1.3 or earlier then thats fine also. can someone just please tell me the right way of doing it. Thanks

im looking to find out the samething.. seems that ever since going from a nice working 1.1.2 to 1.1.4 and using ziphone.. i have more problems then anything and im not happy with the phoen anymore.


sms barely comes in when in sleep mode. and Also when they do seems like it marks it read no matter what ..

well the way that I did mine was to put my phone into restore.

Turn off the phone and make sure that the USB cord is connected to the computer and that iTunes is already running.

Hold down the Home button and then push the Power button together for about 10 seconds the screen should still be black. After 10 seconds remove the power button and continue to hold the Home button until iTunes detects your iPhone in recovery mode.

Then Option click the Restore button and choose the 1.1.4 restore file.

I had similar issue when using the non GUI version of ZiPhone. After activating through iTunes after the restoral I ran ZiPhone 2.5 GUI and all trouble seems to have gone alway.

If my instructions aren't clear look at previous ways to downgrade it's the same process really. This isn't virginizing the phone but rather wiping the phone clean

Yes, its the one with the user interface instead of using Terminal to activate, jailbreak, and unlock.
