How to backup hacks?
Is there an easy way to backup and hacks you've done on your iPhone before doing a system restore/firmware update? I only ask because there is an update coming soon that includes the mobile music store and I really don't want to have to go through and redo all of my hacks again.
Thanks!

Im pretty sure your hacks dont get wiped when you update. Only when you restore.

Make an .ipb file structure with all your mods, that way everytime you update you just upload the .ipb and your good to go.

hm..
This put me in mind of.. Gentoo for iPhone...
What is an ipb? The pxl thing sounds like a good idea, but how do you know what to back up?
I would say you could scp the filesystem to your computer through wi-fi or iBrickr and then tar / gz (or bz2) it up.
This best sounds like a future feature for Installer.app. it has install, uipdate, uninstall etc. I think backup would be a great feature because Installer.app already knows what it each package needs.

An .ipb is a simple file format created by timblade from here, and mimics the iPhone file structure. Our iPhone skinner creates .ipb files. You can create one of those and open it up and add files/directories as desired to back it up.
