    Default Need Help with Roms
    I am using cyberduck and cannot get the roms to work once i put them on the phone they are .nes files any help

    1) did you already connect via SSH and use the "chmod +x *" command for the /Applications/NES.app folder?
    2) try doing the same for the /var/root/Media/ROMs/NES folder (for your ROMs)

    Give us more details and we can help more if these 2 don't do it for ya

    yep what he said and if you are not sure about the chmod thing, then thru scp just right click the folder and go to properties and change the permission to read 0777 same with the contents in the folder

    no i did not do the chmod +x here is how i did mine http://www.iphonealley.com/forums/showthread.php?t=743 if that is not right then i can always do a full restore and try the terminal way

    cyberduck. right click the nes folder select something like "get info" or "properties". there should be a place to set permissions set them to 775, click apply to all enclosed items or wtvr the equivalent option is there. restart phone

    so what should i set it to? those are 2 different answers 775 and 0777 are way different or does it not really count the 0 as a "real number" <-only use for trig

    it already has the permission set at 755

    0775 (775)

    so all the boxes checked minus write for group and world.

    the folder and all the roms need to be set to this (777 or 0777 however you want to write it will work as well)

    yes there is. sigh, i didnt want to have to download cyberduck but here i go. once i get it download you're answer will be coming in about 10 seconds

    cyberduck. sigh. right click on the NES folder in /var/root/media/ROMs/

    select info

    check all those boxes including "Apply changes recursively"

    Click Apply

    wait while it does its thing

    Restart phone

    Default still nothing
    screen still is blank when i click the NES icon (except for the preferences button) and nothing in preferences either

    damn this sucks

    is the NES.app chmod to 775 or 777 too?

    the directory of your roms is

    /var/root/media/ROMs/NES/

    ????

    yes it is case sensitive

    one second. your phone probably is disconnected from your network. it likes doing that when it auto locks
