make my iphone an itouch

I have an original iphone from when it first came out and I never jail broke it or anything. Now it has 1.1.3 on it and I no longer have at&t service for it so I want to make it into basically an ipod touch/iphone w/o phone. I have a mac. Which guide should i use, what do i do?

Why the hell would you buy a iphone and then just because you have no att service want to make it into an ipod touch why dont you just use anysim to unlock then you can have you phone and an ipod touch.

That guide should do it for ya. You'll mainly be concerned with Activating, although it wouldn't hurt to unlock or jailbreak it as well.
