Mods and Apple service

So...if one needed to send their phone to Apple for some repairs, do you think it would be safe to leave the mods and apps in place or should the phone be given a fresh restore? I'd just hate to go through all that modding again...it's kind of arduous.

What happened to your phone!?

Broke my screen It still works, but it's got a little shattered area by the earpiece (if I didn't have the BT headset, I might cut my ear) and a nice crack running diagonally across 2/3 of the touchscreen.
Hopefully I can get it fixed tonight, but the Apple store is about an hour away from me. >sigh<
