I actually just discovered that SFTP worked quite by accident, I was checking to see what it would take to configure FTP since I've grown tired of using SCP commands all the time, and instead discovered that I already had an SFTP server running by default (well, by default thanks to installing the SSH software)...

I love Transmit and highly recommend it, but any app that works with with SFTP should work great.

Using Fugu, I ran into an error after entering the password (dottie):
sh /usr/libexec/sftp-server: Permission denied

Any thoughts on this?

Tried after jailbreak. Vice-versa. Tried "root" as Username and my computer (home) username.

Odd, I just downloaded Fugu to try it, entered the root password, and was logged in properly. I see the Library and Media folders just as I should.

The only time I've seen permission denied errors like the above is when something has the wrong privs. Try to ssh in and check permissions on /usr/libexec/sftp-server, most likely they need reset to 755.
