I was in same boat this weekend.
Do a restore in itunes with 1.0.2 firmware, it will say fail at end.
start ibricker will see iphone and tell you to reboot a few times, now
you will get a activate screen on iphone.
Now the pain...but easy....
Grab the tutorial here by ravon for revirginizing/fixing sectzone upgrading from 1.0.2 -> 1.1.1
and get app install installed,
install bsd and open ssh
now grab saviour pack 1.1.2
and use those files fopr virghinizing step.
follow rest of guide get back running 1.1.1
MY issue was issing a 1.1.1 revirginizing files and baseband was at 1.1.2's version and need the saviour pack 1.1.2 to revirginize with
And an all spent 8 hours doing this, but mostly wasted 4-5 hours on figuring out why revirginizing wasn't working ( needed savour 1.1.2 file ) not found with easy research so will help you alot and save you big time.
