when i upload photos from my computer to the iphone dcim folder (where iphone saves the photos) they will not show up in the camera roll folder

how can i fix that?

Are you using iTunes to sync those pictures or SSH or what?

I don't know, the easiest way it simply through iTunes.

I have the same issue, I sync through itunes and it does not show up in the Camera roll but if I check at the wall paper section from the "Settings" menu I see it over there! Any clue how to get it in camera roll section? Thanks.

I use itunes to sync photos to the iphone. The photos I capture with the iphone show up in the cameral roll. Your itune loaded photos will be under the photo icon.
