WI-FI / CYBERDUCK help
You put your iPhone IP address into cyberduck... you put the IP address where it says server name and you will put "root" where it says username and "alpine" for password if you didn't know that already...and I'm still trying to figure out how to put custom themes on the iphone

I'm having trouble too! I've got a 1st Gen iPhone with 2.0 on it. The phone is pwned, and I've tried Fugu, and Cyberduck, using root for username and alpine for password but neither will connect. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

For Cyberduck and others, you need to set the server type to SFTP.
Get "iPod & iTunes for Dummies", it'll change your life.

1)First double check to make sure your Mac & iPhone are on the same network.
2) click open new connection.
3) it will only connect by SFTP connection so pick that.
4)put in iPhone's I.P.
5) it should change port to default (22) with SFTP
6) username= root
7) password= alpine
8) connect
It might take 30 seconds it more.
If it does not connect in under 2 min.close CyberDuck completely.
Turn off iPhone .
Turn iPhone back on , open Cyberduck and follow the steps above.

I'm having the same issue as well despite selecting all the requested settings and receiving the error "I/O error, connection failed"
I've even attempted it through terminal and it just give me the "connection refused" error. I'm going to try a program called transmit. someone said that will work. i'll post if it worked or not. so far I've tried the terminal, Fugu, and cyberduck, so i'll just keep my fingers crossed.
*edit* nope. same thing. *sigh* all i want to do is put the NES roms on my phone. guess i'll keep looking.Last edited by samuraikc; 08-10-2008 at 02:59 AM.

i've an answer.
Just like everyone..i just cant connect. And now i finally figured it out.
Because all of us forgot to install OpenSSH in our updated iphone 2.0
That's it ...just install OpenSSH from Cydia and use Cyberduck or whatever.
