Yes, I have OS X. If I were to post the Terminal session in here I would have to restore my phone again and re-do the whole process of installing the .ipb file and I am trying to avoid that.

Hmm. I'm not sure. You're in OS X, yes? I guess I need to see a full Terminal session pasted in here, I'm not sure whats going on. You're doing the exact right steps.

I would put a slash after this line:

iPhone:/# cd /System/Library/Lockdown

so it looks like this:
