need help with sftp setup

Check your ip address? I had problems and still do but my ip address on my iphone read 192.168.1.102, but after many attempts i tried 101 instead of 102 and it worked, why i dont know but its worth giving a try.

My problem is that it wont acept the password dottie yet i never changed this so i need help sorting this out, any suggestions from anyone out there?

it just asks for my password repeatedly then says 'permission denied, try again'.

I just don't seem to be having any luck with this iphone. I have restored the iphone to 1.0.2 several times and just cant get past this stage. Is it possible that the keygen is messing things up? i only have OpenSSH installed. Would it possibly work on another laptop? If i restored my laptop to its original settings could that help, I am getting desperate?! I am starting to think that i will have to treat this as an iphone touch, and buy another iphone,i will h ave to get saving again!

is it possible to replace the ssh-keygen or other such files that may be linked to this password, where is the password kept and encrypted, can that file be found and somehow replaced. I feel i am getting a little out of my depth now but i have learnt plenty as i have gone along. Not much fun when nothing seems to work for me. (story of my life!)
