Question
Is it ok to remove ssh/scp... from an unlocked 1.1.1. iphone? I heard they are battery pigs

You don't have to remove it, just turn it off. Both SSH and SCP are controlled by the same SSHD daemon. Download the Services.app which has a feature to turn SSH off.

However, it is okay. You just won't be able to log into your phone remotely or use secure copy or SFTP to move files to the phone.
If you don't see yourself needing to do that, you can safely remove them.
It's probably a wise thing to remove them or turn them off, since the root password is known and anyone on your local network will be able to get into your phone.cash removed my sig of a donation link.
