I jailbraked and unlocked my phone,
and had the 300MB problem, but I went and renamed 'mediaold' to 'media'
and it fixed that, now it shows all 7+GB.
Instead my itunes is now showing that 1+GB of the drive is in use by 'other' This seems like a lot, and I don't rememebr it being like that on my last iphone.
any ideas what I can do to fix this?
can anyone at least tell me if this is normal or not,
so that I know if I should keep looking for a solution?

Well i fix the 330mb issue, and have notice mediaold file and media sys file with an arrow in front of it, what are this file for???? should i move all of them to media or just leave it alone????
I had this problem 3.3gb in "other."
I had 1.0.2 with mods, not unlocked. I updated the 1.1.1 firmware. And when the phone rebooted I i didn't set it up as a "new phone" therefore not a real clean phone. After doing windows one click jailbreak, the problem appeared. So after trying everything, I started all over. I did a factory restore as a new phone with iTunes. THEN did the jailbreak. After modding/installer etc was done, my other read 32mb.
Give it a try and good luck.
I thought that if you did a factory restore with an unlocked phone you could brick it?
I was thinking of trying the virignizer and then the jailbreaking and unlocking, but i don't know if that would work on my phone either.
