"ls" command not found in usr/bin
I am virginizing my 1.0.2 iphone and have an issue when terminal connected...no "ls" command (or "launchct" either). Message is command not found.
Also (and yes - I'm an idiot) I didnt set all six file permissions before I termed into the phone.
Here are the result and path statement:
-sh-3.2# ls
-sh: ls: command not found
-sh-3.2# echo $PATH
/usr/gnu/bin:/usr/local/bin:/bin:/usr/bin:.
-sh-3.2#
Any help would be greatly appreciated!!! And thanks for the great work out there!Last edited by shoshorton; 10-24-2007 at 11:36 PM. Reason: add tag

Ok, doing as you suggest, let me see what will happen.
BTW do I have to virginize iphone which come our of box, never unlocked or just downgrade to 1.02 and special update to 1.1.1 is enough?

No need to do either. If you have 1.1.1 just go to http://jailbreakme.com

at wits end
First, I had the phone on TMobile for over a month. I saw 1.1.1 could be done and went for it. Disaster! I've been patiently going back and forth from 1.1.1 to 1.0.2 many times. (days on this) The phone is back to 1.0.2 and all things work but the sim. I've had up to 1.1.1 working except the sim, and yes I know the disclaimer.
It seems everytime from day one I've tried to "virginize" the phone I run into a problem. I never get the sequence in the guides. I know the problem I'm having is I haven't got the baseband reset, but I can't replicate the guide.
here is where I'm at now:
# cd /usr/bin
# ls
ICE03.14.08_G.eep env logname pr ssh-agent unexpand
ICE03.14.08_G.fls expand mesg printenv ssh-keygen uniq
awk false minicom readlink ssh-keyscan uptime
banner find mkfifo renice sshd users
basename fmt more rsync stat vi
bbupdater fold nano sar su vim
chgrp grep nc scp sum wc
cksum groups nice sed tail which
comm gzip nl sftp tar who
crontab head nohup sftp-server tee whoami
csplit hexdump norz simulatecrash top xargs
curl iUnlock od sort touch yes
cut id passwd split tr
dirname join paste srelay tsort
ditto less pathchk ssh tty
eliteloader.bin login pico ssh-add uname
# launchctlunloadSystem/Library/LaunchDaemons/com.apple.CommCenter.plist
No such process
This is the second time and this when I got the no such process at this line. The place I have always had problems with is the "norz" line, it never works right and gives the proper back up.
Any help will be appreciated.

That should be:
launchctl unload -w /System/Library/LaunchDaemons/com.apple.CommCenter.plistGet "iPod & iTunes for Dummies", it'll change your life.
