Not being able to restore anymore

Hi,
I've reach a point that I don't know what else to do. I'm pretty knowledgeable on how to downgrade, upgrade, activate, unlock and etc... but I very welcome any suggestion on what is going on with my iphone.
I've tried using Independence 1.2.4, iBrick, Funtastic (all on Mac, PC and Mac running parallel). I put the phone on recovery mode and DFU mode, but always when iTunes says "Preparing iphone ..." it seems that the iphone disconnects from the computer and ends up with error 1604 or 1603 (tried iTunes 7.4 and 7.3).
Just before shows up "Preparing iPhone ..." the iphone screen shows the Apple Logo, but doesn't show the spiral wheel on the bottom.
Any suggestion will be gladly appreciated.

could try uninstalling iTunes from windows "add remove programs"

after uninstalling iTunes manually delete the following directories from you computer

CProgram Files\Common Files\Apple
CProgram Files\iTunes
CProgram Files\Apple Software Update "if it is there"
CDocuments and Settings\Your user name on your computer\Application Data\Apple Computer
CProgram Files\iPod

This will ensure that you get a clean iTunes install
re-install iTunes and try again.
