Default iphone says "incorrect SIM please connect to itunes to reactivate iPhone"

Hi, i'm quite a newbie in this iPhone thing,
anyway i just bought unlocked iphone from someone ,
and it works ok with my SIM, but when i tried to put in different SIM, it says "incorrect SIM please connect to iTunes to reactivate iPhone"
how can i use the iphone with other SIM that i have ?
and also there's an app in the iPhone called
anySIM, what is the use ?
can i use that to enabled the iphone to use any SIM card that i have ?
    thank you very much.

you need to SSH a patch call lockdown to enable other sim cards
If the current sim you are using is not from AT&T, "DO NOT" run Anysim again, delete it.

I've actually unlocked it, it was fine for about a couple of hours, than I plugged it in to the computer, sync'd some stuff into it, and than the sim card didn't work. I have no idea what I did? that's exactly what happened.
