Phone won't turn on

I was attempting to put my iphone in restore mode. When I held the home button down after the apple logo came up, it just turned off. Now I can't turn it on with the home button or the sleep button. Just a black screen. What to do?

Try holding the sleep/wake button a little longer, like 3 or 4 seconds. Then it should come on.

Try holding the sleep/wake button and the HOME button, simultaneously. I had that problem once and this got the phone started up.
