Ahhh how dumb of me! I forgot im not on my computer..which has the newest version of Itunes.
Well..I just downloaded the newset version and it synced up with my iphone...im getting closer! Now I am stuck trying to put the newst skins on. I have got to the part on the terminal that says:
"iPhone:/#"
I have downloaded a skin and put it in the "phonedmg" folder. I dont know where to go from here? The wiki instructions are kinda confusing. Thankd again your awesome!

Yah, instructions can be a little confusing as we're still in hackerish beginnings. All from command line, no pretty GUI yet.

Follow this pretty much word for word and you'll be good. Couple things to note:
- Each icon has the same name (Icon.png), so you can only put one at a time inside the root of the phonedmg folder (otherwise you'll overwrite them).
- Not all skins have all icons, so just look in the skin .zip to see which ones you need to replace (they'll have their own folders).
It gets easier as you go!

Sounds like you haven't successfully ran jailbreak yet. Need to do that first.

Enjoy your newfound freedom. Thank the devs at #iphone next time you see them for making this all possible.
p.s. Like most other useful tools, this one may be dangerous if used carelessly. Always remember -- You brick it, you bought it.
p.p.s. I have no idea how 'My Humps' could possibly have gotten set as your ringtone.

Yah that means jailbreak didn't work. Download a fresh version of jailbreak, overwrite your old one, and rerun it. Then open up iphoneinterface and hit ls again and tell me what it says...

One of them is called icon-Camera.png, and the other is icon-Photos.png.

And don't worry about it, I'm here to help!Last edited by Kyle Matthews; 07-22-2007 at 11:32 PM. Reason: Automerged Doublepost
