The developers for those apps have not yet updated them for running on the new firmware.

You just have to hope that they do get updated by their developers or you will be waiting for a long time

The only other bluetooth app i know of other than ibluenova is called ibluetooth but I don't know how good it is or what firmwares it supports

All these bluetooth apps haven't been updated, and I doubt they ever will be. The devs have abandoned them since 2.xx. Our only hope is that a new dev will write a new bluetooth app for modern FW.
