Iconoclasm Layout Builder
This is a project I started yesterday. It's coming along nicely I think, but I just wanted to see if there was even a demand for such a thing. It helps you to build Iconoclasm layouts by clicking and dragging icons. It allows using custom background, dock, statusbar, and icons so you can see exactly what your theme will look like. You can use preset grids to assist alignment, or freely arrange the icons. Nudge individual icons pixel by pixel by clicking the icon and pressing the up/down/left/right arrow keys. The max number of icons is currently 49. Please provide any feedback and suggestions.

great idea! i personally never found it incredibly hard to make iconoclasm layouts but I'm sure many people would like this!! I'd get it but I'm on a mac and it looks like it's windows only...

If anyone uses this on Windows XP, please let me know how it works. I haven't been able to test it on anything but Vista and 7. Thanks!

Under "View Code". You can save to a .plist or upload it directly to your device.

Can I make a couple of suggestions?
Can there be a way of loading in your custom icon image centered to the default icon rather than "top-left"? Obviously we still want it to set up the axis via top-left.
Can we load different custom icons per icon rather than the same one for all?
Only reason I ask these things is that for "iNav" style themes it would make it REALLY easy to lay them out, in the builders current state Its still hit and miss due to the current way of loading images and with larger images it can be WAY off!
Also, is there a way of using Iconoclasm to set out the Dock?
Great program though, made a heap of things A LOT easier for me!

I thought the iphone loaded icons at top left and not centered...am i wrong? I've already been thinking about enabling different images for each icon and will probably start working on that.
No iconoclasm can't do anything to the dock
There is now a 64bit compatible version available on my site - http://bjbinc.webs.com/downloads.htmLast edited by bjbinc; 03-12-2010 at 11:49 PM.

Thanks for the reply, yes Iconoclasm and the springboard places icons via top-left of the default icons but when you overlay and icon that is larger than those icons it is aligned exact centre of the default icon which would then cause a conflict when using a custom icon in the layout builder as it aligns the custom image as top-left.
Example is my theme [see sig], the Xbox360 Avatar loads into the icon via winterboard centred to the icon and thus is selected via the centre of the avatar. When using Layout Builder the icons arent anywhere near where they should be due to the difference in placement from Layout Builders top-left custom image to springboards centre custom image.
I can see how this doesnt effect people using this to achieve patterns or large quantities of icons per SB page but this kind of program would benifit themers who are working outside the norman bounds of the SB with different sized icons that require centre selection.

make it so higher numbers (ex. 2,3) stay on top of the previous numbers. also, make it so instead of having to click once, then click and hold again to drag, you can click the first time and drag. (i kept clicking and holding on top of one, but it would accidently move the previous number i was working on.
rather then that, nice!

This happened to another guy, not sure why. Use this registry patch to reshow the menu. You'll then be able to save and upload your layout.
