Dress My iFone (Windows)
Hi,
I'm make a program called "Dress My iFone" for my girlfriend, because she have saved a lot of iPhone themes on our computer, and she loose a big time decide what theme to install or not, or she search for an especified theme but forget what is the name.
This take me to find a way of how to make her life easy. And I created a Dress My iFone program. During my programming time I have a lot of new ideas, but are hard to implement theme because I'm not have my own iPhone. And is a really nightmare to request to lent her iPhone, to prove if my program works or no, since she uses much her iPhone, and does not want to come off itself.
For this I decided to share my program and ask for a donation to buy my own iPhone. And in this way I can improve very much the Dress My iFone program.
Those are some features (Only work with iPhone FW 1.1.3 & 1.1.4):
1.- Graphical display of the iPhone SummerBoard Themes saved on your desktop.
2.- Graphical display of the iPhone SummerBoard Themes saved on your iPhone.
3.- Rename the springboards icons saved in your PC to any other language.
4.- Transfer SummerBoard Themes from PC to your iPhone.
5.- Transfer SummerBoard Themes from your iPhone to your PC.
and many others features like Zoom in and out etc. Please Take a look!
So, Please if you like my work, DONATE!
Thank You,
Jose Merhi

Love the app; it's perfect for viewing themes prior to installation, but I found the following...
1. 3 column "available themes on pc" list, make it a single column (hard to read with 3 column)
2. themes install into /private/var/mobile/Media/private/var/mobile/Media/private/var/mobile/Library/SummerBoard/Themes/theme name
3. The only themes that show up under "available themes on ifone" are in /private/var/mobile/Media/private/var/mobile/Media/private/var/mobile/Library/SummerBoard/Themes/
4. after I connected my iphone, I started getting a popup stating "you need to of installed summerboard to use......" at the start of dress my ifone. I do have summerboard installed.

Thank You t3abags fo your feedback,
1. Ok I have to work to fix that.
2. The prgram look for themes installed on your iPhone at follow path:
"/private/var/mobile/Library/SummerBoard/Themes/"
As I told before I'm not have an iPhone. So can you please tell me wich other path for Themes are avaible on version 1.1.3 or 1.1.4 ? Yes I' learn that some iPhone users install a repo from installer called "SummerBoard fix" When you apply this where are saved the Themes on the iPhone?
3. Yes, this is because the program look for the SummerBoard Path on your iPhone at "/private/var/mobile/Library/SummerBoard/Themes/" If you help me fix the problem 2 I fix the 1 & 3
Than you again.

Looks to be a very promising app..... seems to fail for me on Vista as well, but I kinda expected it being that Im on Vista 64 bit.

yes, themes are in /private/var/mobile/Library/SummerBoard/Themes/
but for some reason when your app connects to the iphone the starting location is: /private/var/mobile/Media, so resulting in "/private/var/mobile/Media/private/var/mobile/Library/SummerBoard/Themes/theme name" being copied to the iphone.
I'm not sure but I beleive you need to make sure your at root level prior to copying the theme to the phone or listing what is available...

Hi,
Thank you for your feedback.
The prgram look for themes installed on your iPhone at follow path:
"/private/var/mobile/Library/SummerBoard/Themes/"
can you tell me please, what is the path of your Summerboards Themes folder in your iPhone? Your answer can help me fix that.
Thank you again.
Cookie_Meisterm,
I find wjat's the problem. The problem is the Ziphone jailbreak. You need to install the ZiPhone Jailbreak Fix
Go to installer on your iPhone and add the follow source: i.unlock.no
Then go to unlock tools categories and install:
ZiPhone ibrickr Fix
This solve the problem. that Dress My iFone do not find the SummerBoard themes path.Last edited by jmerhi; 03-13-2008 at 06:32 AM. Reason: Automerged Doublepost
