good idea but the animation is backwards. The moon rises in the east and sets in the west so the animation should go from right to left

Yes... I have both a 2G (2.2.1)and 3G(3.0) iphone. I'm on t-mobile so it's jailbroke and unlocked (redsn0w - ultrasn0w) It works great on both.
