The basic 24 hour themes can be better controlled since the way that one works is it simply changes your wall at the top of each new hour. But the weather themes are more difficult since it's controlled by a weather feed which as you know even on the desktop widgets you might noticed once in a while yahoo goes down and nothing feeds until it begins to suddenly work again. Plus there is other factors involved such as the iPhone itself when it locks and unlocks and how it refreshes etc. There's just alot of external factors outside my theme involved so since it was never meant to be pushed like this I can't control all the technical reasons why my theme won't ever be "precise"

And now w/ the next version coming that has the moon phase incorp'd into it, it will only get more complex, since I noticed last night the moonscript versus the weather bg script don't both sync for about a 15-30 min delay which is no big deal but for ppl that are a perfectionist? this will drive them absolutely nuts...

Hi BigCiX,
Ok looks like you have the moon phase add on. I have now updated the refresh rate to 15 minutes. You can either download the new files on that thread or change the following inside the configureMe.js file located in the Private directory of that theme.

var updateInterval = 240

Change to:

var updateInterval = 15

FYI the moon phase add on is not directly linked to Doreens theme. What this means is if the timing is not set up just right there will be times when you will be looking at a night time background with a Sun image or a daytime background with a moon image.

I am aware of this and will gladly continue to work with Doreen to tighten up the timing between the two for her next release.

Also keep in mind the more you decrease the update interval the more you are taxing your phone and you may see a quicker drain of your battery. To what extent I am not sure. 15 minutes should be a good compromise.

But, the wallpaper works with the exact forecast but my weather icon on the right is just blue, nothing showing on...

I doubt I'll be doing any today or tomorrow (cuz of work and I'm feeling alil under the weather myself) so most like this weekend I will try to jump on this and get alot done. There is a total of 96 images I need to do (48 walls and 48 overlays) so hang in there if it takes a lil longer than I project for myself okay.

/me waves hello to radar, I will be in touch before I release it and I will need to pester you to fine tune the script on the moon phase to adjust the times I'm noticing delays on when it shows and hides etc. (but we'll deal w/ that later)

I have exact the same problem.
When showing the wheather in the statusbar (with SupremePreferences) there is a picture there but still not at the wheather icon!

And yes: everything wheathericon related is disabled in winterboard.

I am using the exact versions that I have posted.
I noticed that my Sun image came up just before 7:03. So it is working as intended.

If you continue to have major time issues (more than 15 minutes after the hour) with the add on then I would say delete any copy you have and download the zip files once more and reinstall the new files.

The new update on Cydia which apper since yesterday, whats included in that one ?

Every time i try to update i get

"Note:The requested modifications cannot be applied due to requierd dependencies or conflicts thay cannot be automatically found or fixed."

Any solutions? do i need the update?

are working as intended, you could try to reload from those.

I am working to get this Moon phase add on to be more tightly integrated with Doreen's awesome themes. Doreen is actively involved in this and will always be aware of the progress. So my last tidbit on this add on:
There will more than likely always be some gap issues. The prestigous Spamdumpster (How's that for a plug) whose code is the basis for this project has been very active in support. Wouldn't be here without him. The next challenge is to have the moon phase add on rely on your local daily sunrise and sunset times.

I was wondering if anyone has been able to mod the weather icon so that it displays for another icon. So if i wanted to use The Weather Channel instead of the default weather app.

If this has already been discussed here, im sorry, i know how annoying it is to get the same questions over and over again, but i did search for it, and came up empty. Any help is greatly appreciated.

The dev has been making alot of changes and I've not had time to read up on all of them yet (work, kids and not feeling well) so I doubt since I'm on call today I'll have anytime to play.

leram84 just edit the WeatherBundleIdentifier String to whatever 3rd party weather app you want and you'll be fine (nothing has changed there)
