When you dowload WAD it comes with two folders to upload to your themes folder via SSH. a (Widget) WAD folder and a (Theme) Worldclock folder.
In the Theme worldclock folder if you put your own wallpaper in there and have both Widget wad and Theme worldclock checked above Perfectstorm in winterboard the wallpaper in the theme worldclock folder will be displayed and not the wallpaper from the perfectstorm theme.
Thats the way i have mine set up because sometimes i want to use my own wallpaper and sometimes i like the blackberry wallpaper and dont feel like sshing into the phone just to change that. all i do is simply go to winterboard and uncheck theme worldclock and vwahlah back to the perfect storm background.

I know exactly what your set-up is. You downloaded the Full WorldClock widget, not the one that has been condensed, edited down, and only including the files needed to make the look the majority of people are going for here (just the clock, weather, and date at top).
The megaupload file I referenced is a different package, which ONLY includes the absolute essentials for the Widget to be Set-Up on the Springboard. No messy editing for lock background or anything like that, its plug and play. Edit the zip, upload to Theme folder, and click in Winterboard and you're good to go.
On a side note, there is another edit of this file floating around that I modified to remove the Seconds hand from the clock and decreased the Weather Update interval from every 15 minutes to Every 1 Hour. For me, and some others, the second hand caused large interface lag each time it "ticked", and increased battery usage too noticeably. At the same rate, many others haven't noticed such an adverse effect. So, depending on if your affected or not ( I was, and cpjr wasn't, for two examples), then you might need to use either or.
