[Preview] WbApp Weather Lock screens

Full credit to Teknofrik @ MacThemes for the large icons and katra (both here and MacThemes)

I take full credit for all my tweaks and WbApp integration

The whole point of putting the weather widget in to WbApp was to eliminate all this frackin' SSH here and SSH there... so I guess when you want things done right, you do them yourself!

All theme's pull location and time from the WbWeatherWdgt config screen in WbApp. Some use either the Accuweather or the Yahoo source. Some are locked. They are meant to be installed, configured with WbApp and used.

First, the HD Lock theme:
Here's the extra settings that effect this theme
'klear' icons setting:
on = HTC, huge icon, center of the screen, HTC wallpaper
off = 3d Earth, smaller, upper left corner

Lockscreen setting:
on = full text display of weather info
off = temp only, left corner

Second, Week HD theme
No additional settings here, source locked to Accuweather (5 day forecast)

Third, Calendar w/Week theme
No additional settings here, source locked to Accuweather (5 day forecast)

Coming soon to Cydia...

Edit: Oh and I will also release a fully transparent battery theme and I'm working on a second one that will be usable with these lock screens. I really like what katra did in the most recent update, very cool idea.

Cannot... Wait...
1 Question, i've heard these things CONSUME battery life. Is there a way so it will only update very minimally so it won't?

Yes, as ALL html wallpapers will that use javascript... however, here's what I've noticed while developing and testing;

If your device locks on it's own and you then unlock it before the normal update frequency of 35 minutes, it does not refresh. Conversely, when you force lock your device and then unlock it, it will immediately refresh. You can actually see this once you have the Wb HD Lock theme installed and running. Open up WbApp and the Weather Widget screen, now make a change to either the location, Lockscreen toggle or the 'klear' icons toggle, save the config, lock your device and then unlock and it will display the new settings, an obvious refresh.

So... I'd say at first YES this may noticeably decrease your battery life, due to the "play around effect" it has Once the "newness" of it wears off I haven't noticed any different battery life than I had using the normal homescreen weather widget, which of course you still can use with all of these HD lock screens.

I am releasing the three themes shown as a "bundle" because I have the two "forecast" style themes using the icons from the "HD Lock" theme. The end result is three great looking themes at the size of just one.

I'll post back once they are available on Cydia; I've sent the package to pf.

on Cydia now..

after you installed using cydia, you should have a WbApp icon. open that and scroll down till you see WbWeekWthr HD Lock. Tap that then tap flip at the top and then tap install this theme. Theme is now installed. To config the city, open up WbApp again. There is something called Util: WbWeather Wdgt. Tap that and tap flip. Config city. Respring and you're done.

Great job by the way :-D. Always wanted something like this. Kept on telling my gf that I want my weather displayed and finally can do it.

NOTICE
There is indeed a bug with ALL html LockScreen themes on an iPhone. If you answer a call from a locked screen and then receive another call, the only option is to hangup + answer, the overlay with other options like putting the first call on-hold is hidden.

This problem IS NOT limited to these weather lock themes, ANY html lock theme will cause this problem, seems to be rooted in the layering of WinterBoard not the actual theme.

Just thought everyone should know ahead of time...

Greg - Thanks so much for this. Very nice.

My question is.... I'm confused on the extra settings such as "huge icon", "3d earth", etc. I can't find where those are. Can anyone point me in the right direction?
