1st download adobe photoshop
and u need to know haw to use it
so u chose the pic u want then resize it to the icone size
and curve the esges and all that what u need to do
then save it as .ping format
then u go to the location of the icon that u want to replace ssh it or use any other prgm
if u want to use summerbord i cant tell u i have to check what i have in my mind about it by creating the file on the phone with all the icones in it(dont know if it will detect it)

i just gave it a try
i was able to creat a folder on /private/var/root/library/summerboard/themes
or rename the existing ones (just the downloaded ones work)
and i there u can move all ur icones ther and name them *** the app names use the other folders as an example
now by using ssh u can creat ur own theme from other themes icons and wallpapers
