Brilliant Tim, I appreciate it. No worries, i will resize them until they fit. I wish I knew how to take jpeg pictures like the scale and make them into png files like that. No PS here, just Aperture

I use Gimp for everything. It works pretty good I think. All you do is rename it to a .png file after your done editing and it takes care of the rest. I'm too cheap to buy Photoshop.

Oh interesting...so it takes the box around the pic and makes it into just the icon? For example that scale image I attached...you just make it a png image and it just makes it a icon without the boxy look? That probably didn't make sense haha

I wish it was that easy. It is a little more in depth than that. For the scale, I had to go and use an "eraser" and clear out all of the gray and anything else that needed to be deleted. Then I resized the image and created the reflection, which is about 4 or 5 more steps. After all that, then I save it as a .png file.

Wow I see, I just dloaded it and guess I'll play around with your advice. Yea it would be nice if it is that easy. Thanks for the link and help with the other icons. Much appreciated.

I actually use an older version of Gimp (version 2.4.6). It seems to work better for some reason. You can find it here.

If you need any help/tips, just ask. The more help we get the better. I found alot of info just searching Google. For example: creating reflections in gimp. There are plenty tutorials out there. That is basically how I started out. Trial and error...and plenty of patience.

1. email----- maybe an old skool mail box with the red flag up

2. isports---- maybe just put the lil logo in the default icon

3. Wells fargo mobile bank----- maybe a lil stagecoach would look cool

4. Direct TV --- maybe a dish looking icon

Well wells fargo doesnt have an app yet i just saved the their mobile website to my homescreen i guess its a webclip their icon for the mobile site is ok but i would like something to match the theme.

As for direct tv they also dont have an app but same they have a mobile website that lets you record shows on to the dvr from anywhere and i dont like their webclip icon
