maybe something has messed with your mask file...ok...try this:-

    1. navigate to "/System/Library/PrivateFrameworks/MobileIcons/" and locate "AppIconMask@2x~iphone.png" file.
    2. make a copy of that file. either rename it and/or copy it to your pc. this is just in-case...you should always make copies of original files before you overwrite any of them.
    3. download the attached file, and paste it into the above folder on your phone.
    4. navigate to "/var/Mobile/Library/Caches/com.apple.IconsCache/"
    5. when you are in that folder, select all the files within that folder and delete them all. you are safe to do this. as they are cache files.
    6. head back to the "IconOmatic" settings page and "Select Theme". then move your theme 2nd, 3rd or 4th down from the top and let go. then place your theme back up to the top.
    7. press back and then press "Make Changes (Respring)".

it "should" then apply your icon overlay.

    Great job guys.

Just a question: wouldn't it be more practible for us all if this package will become a part of next Winterboard version ?

And I'm currently not sure if your decision to apply the mask even on already themed icons is very useful.

If you look at my new theme - 77 - you will notice that this might be useful for simple frame icon themes but not what I was doing with the icons. It also means for all existing themes (!) to make all icons completely new including smaller NC, Settings and Spotlight icons.

Does anybody have a theme they made for this? So I can try it? Thanks again oldgit9 had high hopes for that with no luck! Just don't get it! I manual themed my phone before WB was up and running thinking I might have left a different icon mask in there but no! I did try everything!

Hi blue did you try it on 77? Did you get to work?

i have attached the folder that i used in my first overlay theme on page 1....and i know it works...i just double checked and it works.

after you unzip the folder and copy it to your folders, make sure when you go to apply the theme, you move it down from the top, release, then move it back up to the top of the list. then respring.

if this works, your icons will be too big and overlap the overlay.

lol...honestly mate...ive done no different to what you have done during the JB...the only thing i can suggest now, is to delete all the contents of the cache folders around the ios bazaars...that way, you should, clear all the files. then reboot.

other than that, im sure the devs will be able to help.

If you want auto theming icons this is the only way. Things change and we may have to adjust the way we make themes.

For myself all my themes I will be removing any frames or top effects and packaging so that iconomatic applies this (just like we have had to do with AppStore icons)

And just to shed light. It was not our decision to have all icons masked. This was how apple implemented icons in iOs7 which is why Cydia icons get masked now

Also it's not possible for is to recognize it you have included a custom icon or not.

If you prefer to not have your icon effects to be overlay then it can be disabled and only shadow used

Man I really like this! One exception, it also styles the blank spaces used by iBlank. Any idea how one could overcome that obstacle?

Don't care for GridLock nor HomeScreen Designer. Thanks anyway. I'll figure something out without having to use this.

If anyone has had issues with it not working we have re packaged and uploaded to the repo. Now there is no errors. So please uninstall and re install. See if that fixes your issue

Right now there is no way to exclude icons from being done. Just like iOS6 if there was a shadow file it would apply to every icon. A blank one or not

Also to be clear I was not meaning what I said offensively. I had no idea anyone still used that because gridlock has been out for so long and works flawless. So I was more shocked. Wasn't meant as a did at you
